Daniel (Concerned Citizen)
Today, when we look into our state, common people are suffering from serious disease which has to be given proper treatment. The world is living with fast advance technology, modernized, link-up the global initiated by the hard work, but our society is leading toward corruption which have crossed its parameter. Who is it to be blame? Is it NGO, Churches, Societies, who have no law and order power over state affairs or the state bureaucrats who have power.
Money plays an important role in our societies political system is corrupted with money power which adversely effect youth Career and also create unemployment problem. As election is coming nearby the youth will decide their fate.
State bureaucrats are thinking only for themselves to enjoy their luxurious life, they have no vision for their future children, youths, and welfare of the people. They are all under the impression of honey power which cannot maintain legal justice. State machineries should not always blame the cabinet and the Ministers because they are elected by the participation of the mass people in the form of democracy. Sometimes they might force or order to do according to their directive to deliver illegal justice for their selfishness but it is to be noted that the real power of the state rule making body is in the hand of top government bureaucrats.
Every day we are talking about peace and developments, green revolution, white revolution of state but unless the bureaucrats change their attitudes of transforming the society, it is not possible what so ever, because law and order is in their respectable chairs. The officers should not think that government fund is their money because they are being paid for their services. State law and order, infrastructure and development should be transparent and accountable in the interest of the concerned citizen and employees. RTI should ensure bringing justice to the corrupted officers and staffs by the commissioner. Even the IAS Officers of the state who are highly respected in the country and paid high salary, allotted with all government facilities, special allowances over other officers cannot give good services to the people or deliver legal justice and keep the societies into darkness.
With the lack of good Governances, dishonesty, rampant corruption and injustice discriminating the common people is left with no other option, but to sit with crossed finger thinking how to earn easy money for survival. The unemployed person and the society cannot look forward to the state government for their self reliance. Less job avenue from government sector and enterprise reflect the mind of the people to involve in anti- social activities like violation, extortion, alcohol, drugs abuse, sex etc. which is becoming a big issue in our society. Every person needs money for their livelihood, vehicle for movement, business and building for family to live in a comfortable life. No body wants to live in a poor condition though human source are constrain from hard work in return.
Loss of vehicle has become daily news which has a good market, encouraged from certain corners like demand from buyers, weakness of administration, department involvement in fake documents and no action plan from any organization to control wrongdoer but for their own benefit. Vehicle is increasing day by day accident is occurring everyday killing and injuring many people but the Government authority is not aware of taking any positive measure for safety. There are numbers of vehicles playing on road without having his luxurious A/C car insurance which is danger to human life. In Kohima and Dimapur traffic jam has become another big problem causing inconveniences to the people. We cannot aspect much better rule from traffic police with VIP cars in such a congestion filled road of the city.
Government properties road and land have been encroached by the individuals when the district administration was sleeping with power kept as a hidden treasure. Development authority of the city could only wakeup now, when all the development activities have taken place. It is another heavy burden for the state Government to tackle the situation which will cost them high to compensate those private commercial building, losing state exchequer and development fund.
Dimapur, being the busy commercial hub of the state, which has rich potential economic for private investment youth unemployment problem is increasing. But sorry for those people who have capital source to invest in business sector, others have won the market place and there is a less privilege or no chance because owners are not interested to our people which are blocking the economic flow of our society.
Mostly in Dimapur. Bangladeshi Miyas and others are floating like Mushroom, making them feel like paradise city and have their due share market for outsiders. So many criminal activities are coming up and becoming a safe place for them. Why is district administration so silent? Who’s problem is this? Indian constitution had granted a special provision of article 371 (A) to the citizen of Nagaland state to safe guard their rights and properties. The authority should implement this rule to the entire state, even the central employees need ILP for residency in state except paramilitary Indian force on nation duty. “Check and balance” is required before it destroys our rich culture. Senior and concern citizens who are venerable should contribute some thing for the welfare of the society and development of the future generation.
