Dimapur, January 3 (MExN): The Country Craft Development Society (CCDS) has issued a rejoinder refuting allegations made by the NSCN-K (Khango), which were published in various print media on December 29.
The Society clarified that the allegations, which accused the Chairman, Aolemba, of mismanagement in connection with a Common Facility Centre (CFC) project, are baseless and require correction.
According to the statement, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, had approved the establishment of the CFC under the MSE — Cluster Development Program for the Wooden Furniture Cluster at Dimapur. The Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, is the Nodal Agency for the scheme, while the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) Ltd, Dimapur, is the Implementing Agency.
"The responsibility of the Country Craft Development Society, taking the role as the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), would be to manage the day-to-day activities, running and maintenance of the CFC upon completion of civil works and installation of all machineries," the statement read.
Aolemba emphasized, "I, as the Chairman of the Society, is a Co-Promoter/Beneficiary and not the contractor or supplier for this project, contrary to the allegations made against me." He added that the project is ongoing and all detailed information about its status is available with the concerned Nodal Agency and Implementing Agency of the State Government.
Urging the public to disregard the accusations, Aolemba stated, "I would like to urge all the concerned not to be confused with the false allegation levelled against me."
The Society called on individuals and entities to verify facts with the appropriate authorities to avoid being misled by unsubstantiated claims.
