Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) & Taxes Advisor Kudecho Khamo released a book on Regulations on the usage of Chakhesang Attires and Ornaments (Part-1) during the 44th General Session of the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) at Phek town on February 21.
This book was published by CPO under the banner of its constituted Chakhesang Attires Regulatory Board (CARB) in 2023.
The primary objective of the Board is to protect the cultural integrity of the Chakhesang attires, ornaments, designs, motifs, etc. and to regulate their usage.
This Board was headed by Dr. Zavei Hiese as chairman and Nokho Nyekha as member secretary.
The other ex- officio and members included; Vechisalu Nukhu, Dukhriilii Lohe, Welhipe-ii Medo, Vechiiloii Kanuo, Rekha Rose Dukru, Zacilhii R. Vadeo, Kedoutsolhi Wetsah, Ariyi Nienu, Presidents of CPO, CCO, CMA and Executive Director CWWS.
The Board was constituted to check the misuse of traditional attires and ornaments.
