CRP Rounds begin in SRLM Nagaland

Kohima: As part of the Resource Block Strategy under NRLM, implementation of the CRP rounds for Social Mobilization and Institution Building began on May 12 in all the 9 Intensive Blocks of Nagaland.

A press note informed that altogether, 12 Professional Resource Persons (PRPs), 24 Community Resource Persons (CRPs) from OMPLIS, Orvakal Block Federation, Kurnool District, AP, along with 36 Women Activists (potential Internal CRPs) from Nagaland will be engaged for roll out of the CRP Strategy.

The CRP Teams will be completing 180 days of Village Stay during the FY 2014-15 in each resource block. It is expected that the CRP Teams will cover 7785 poor HH into 865 SHGs by mobilizing Poorest of the Poor (PoP) women through Participatory Identification of Poor (PIP).

In this regard, an orientation programme was held on May 9 at AIDA, Dimapur where M Rollan Lotha Dy. CEO (Programs) briefed the CRP Teams on Implementation Strategy and roll out plans. As per the plan each round will comprise of 45 days and 4 rounds will be completed by March 2015 (180 Days). Each round will cover 3-4 villages with 10-15 days of Village Stay. After completion of each round, a State Level Review Meeting will be held, where all Tripartite MoU Parties will be participating. Smt. Smita Jacob, State Anchor, NMMU/MoRD and Consultant for UNDP, who is on official visit to the State, encouraged the State Mission and the CRP Teams on the need for commitment to achieve program quality standards while implementing the CRP Strategy. She also expressed full confidence on the NSRLM Team in achieving the proposed targeted outcomes and hoped that NSRLM becomes a Resource State providing support to NE Region and elsewhere. Motsuthung Lotha, Addl. Secretary and Mission Director, NSRLM briefed the gathering and solicited for coordination among the PRPs, CRPs, Block Mission Management Units and Women Activists for smooth implementation of the CRP strategy. He further requested for sincerity and dedication at all levels.

During the program, Block Program Managers along with the PRPs gave block-wise PowerPoint presentations on District details.
