Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): The 173 Battalion, CRPF, Airfield Dimapur conducted Civic Action Programme under the aegis of Sh. Rajesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Manipur and Nagaland Sector on December 19 at 173 Battalion Headquarter, Dimapur.
A press release from Commandant 173 Bn. CRPF, Airfield, Dimapur stated that competitive examination books were distributed to needy students by Sh. Sarbjit Singh, Dy. Inspector General, CRPF.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest Sarbjit Singh encouraged the youths to take part in building the nation by enrolling themselves as Force member in service to the nation. He also spoke about the rich and diverse culture and chivalry of the Nagas.
The Battalion has been entrusted to initiate and mobilize the youths for enrollment through print and electronic media by assisting them through on-line registration of forms.
598 youths (male-496, female-102) were successfully registered. Free Staff Selection Commission Recruitment (SSC) coaching classes and Physical Endurance Test (PET) were given to registered candidates since September 3, added the release. The programme was initiated to assist unemployed youths of Nagaland and provide platform in armed forces as well prepare them for job opportunities.
