Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): As a part of civic action programme 78 BN CRPF, organized a programme on distribution of books to schools at CRPF camp, Zubza, Kohima on November 4.
Erick Gilbert Jose, Second-in-command, 78 BN CRPF, Kohima presided over the function. Avelu Ruho, SDO (civil) Zubza graced the function as the chief guest, which was also attended by various prominent people like fathers from Don Bosco, media personnel, village GB, president, students union, officials of CRPF, local organizations etc.
Welcoming the dignitaries, N. Ranbir Singh, Dy. Comdt stated that this programme is organised as part of series of civic action programme with the aim to reach out to the local people and contribute to the social development in the area of deployment.
While speaking during the function Erick Gilbert Jose, second-in-command-78 BN CRPF, stated that civic action programme sponsored by the central govt. Through central police forces like CRPF, through this programme we have already conducted various programmes like training on mushroom production, women tailoring to villagers, first-aid course to school teachers etc. This unit also proposed to construct water tank for the use of villagers. Through such programmes CRPF intends to contribute to the social development in the area.
The chief guest distributed books to Govt. Primary school, Don Bosco School, Zubza and St. Mary’s Cathedral Hr. Sec. School, Lerie, Kohima. While speaking during the function she commended CRPF for the good works they have undertaken through civic action programme which shows human face of the force. She thanked 78 BN, CRPF for undertaking series of good works during this year.
