CTC new office building inaugurated

Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): The inauguration of the new office building of the Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) –cum- pre-Christmas celebration of CTC was held Friday at CTC conference hall with ADC Dimapur, Sedevikho Khro, as the chief guest.
The chief guest in his address said that any plan for development should on long term basis and not haphazard. He also said that since all developmental activities undertaken by the government or civic bodies are for public welfare, individual interest should give way to the common good.
Alluding to the proposed shifting of Dimapur district headquarters to Chumukedima, the ADC said that CTC should focus on road connectivity. He said CTC must make a point that roads of the new district headquarter are wide and well maintained.
Khro also urged upon the citizens of Chumukedima to have sense of ownership of public or government property and assets.
CTC chief advisor, T Shuya, who gave a brief report on construction of the new office building, thanked the Urban Development department for allotting fund out which a certain percentage was utilized for construction of the new building.
On shifting of Dimapur district headquarter to the new complex at Chumukedima, the Shuya reminded that the leaders, GBs, elders and citizens of Chumukedima have a great challenge ahead of them – to make the new district headquarter a “model city.”

Earlier, the programme chaired by CTC advisor, Meribeni Lotha, started with invocation by pastor of Rengma Baptist Church.
Among the special invitees included CEO, CTC, and EAC Chumukedima, Alongdimen Jamir.
