Kohima | December 9

Advocate Nalin S Kohli, Supreme Court of India and Yogendra Garg, Chief Commissioner of Central GST and Customs, Guwahati Zone graced the cultural extravaganza ‘Cultural Connect’ on Day 9 of Hornbill Festival 2022 at Kisama on December 9.

Karunakar Das, Chief General Manager and Head of NTPC, Bongaigaon was present as honoured guest and Tourism and Art & Culture, Advisor H Khehovi Yeputhomi and Higher Education and Tribal Affairs Minister, Temjen Imna Along as host.

Rugala, a ritual practiced by the ancient A’chiks of the Garo tribe was enacted by Garo Cultural troupe. Dimasa Kachari Cultural Troupe performed a serpent dance called ‘Baikhon/Baijubu.’ Ao Cultural Troupe performed a short enactment of Tsüngremmung festival celebration by the Ao Nagas.

Today’s Cultural Connect also witnessed cultural performances from Angami Cultural Troupe, Zeliang Cultural Troupe, Pochury Cultural Troupe, Sumi Cultural Troupe, Lotha Cultural Troupe, Kuki Cultural Troupe, Chakhesang Cultural Troupe and Rengma Cultural Troupe.
