The current mess being created by occupants of Khehoi camp is nothing new or unexpected, every stages of significant progress in the peace and political journey of the Nagas has always been marred by sudden chaos covertly generated by the external forces by using the feeble and disloyal section of the Nagas.

The emergence of the trend of “criminalisation of Naga cause” began way back (since 1990) by the present occupants of Khehoi camp and will continue to be so unless the Nagas realise and clamp down on this criminal enterprise at an earliest. On the past several instances, the naive and honest Nagas has been swayed away by anti-Naga propagandas disseminated through unprincipled and opportunistic section of the Nagas that sought to materially and mortally benefit at the cost of Naga’s political aspiration.
The same destabilising stratagem is being enthusiastically employed by external forces using Khehoi campers as pawn in the game to disrupt the legitimate cause. It is an undeniable fact that those taking refuge in Khehoi Camp are all but rootless and conformists shifting affiliations at every opportune moment that suits their vested material interests and comforts.
Bereft of any political goal, vision and commitment, it is but natural that these flock of fortune hunters keeps changing directions at every twists and turns of situations.
Since the unfortunate split of NSCN/GPRN in the year 1988 till late 2000’s, the NSCN’s had been embroiled in unnecessary bloody conflicts due to instigations by these nomadic hordes gathered at Khehoi. Ever since the split, these sections had frequently and at every regular intervals been defecting between the NSCN’s, espousing scorch earth policy against one NSCN over the other.
In the midst of their engineered fratricides, they had been ceaselessly expanding their criminal networks, spreading it’s evil tentacles to every nook and corner of Nagaland that promises faster and easier way to earn money and comfortable lifestyles, all at the expenses of thousands of precious lives of the Nagas.
There is not a single member in Khehoi camp who has not defected in between the NSCN’s for not less than minimum of three times, majority of the gang leaders has the distinctive record of having defected seven(7) to eight(8) times i,e Azheto Chophi and the likes. The top rung figures like Khole and Kitovi has the lowest rate of defections-only three instances of shifting affiliations between the NSCN’s. Is not it utterly disgraceful to shout peace, unity or reconciliation when they themselves have been responsible for every bloody fighting and killings for the last twenty (20)years? It is relevant to cite factual events of switching loyalties by these abominable flocks at several points of time during the last two decades since 1988.
Led by Khole and Kitovi and assisted by nomads like Azheto Chophi, bloody campaigns were launched against the group led by Isak Swu and Th. Muivah. Relentless clashes thus took place during 1990-1997 between the two NSCN’s. However, when the tide changed in IM’s favour, this same flock headed by Azheto along with more than sixty(60) weapons and around hundred(100)cadres defected to Isak-Muivah in December 1997. In the similar fashion, bloody armed reprisals were carried out against NSCN.K right after they joined IM and attempted to evict the NSCN from Dimapur. It is always their mania to defect to whichever group that becomes stronger in Dimapur.
Likewise, whenever their criminal activities were/are objected at, they would soon denounce the group and join the other but always ensures beforehand that they do continue to be posted or occupy Dimapur.
Their intention were simple, loud and clear- to remain rooted in Dimapur with whichever NSCN that has the grip of the only commercial centre(Dimapur) and to carry on the sinister plan of enriching one’s coffer through kidnapping, extortion, assassinations, running illegal business rackets, black marketing, bootlegging and to the extent of controlling even prostitution and gambling sectors.
This same gang of habitual defectors led by Azheto once again broke away from IM in the year 2007 and joined NSCN led by His Excellency SS.Khaplang. True to it’s inherent character, the entire Nagaland, especially Dimapur District was entirely brought to a virtual halt in almost every aspects of lives.
The bloody conflict between the NSCN’s once again fuelled by these vagabonds ensued and more than hundred precious lives of the Naga patriots and civilians alike were snatched away.
And while the NSCN’s were manoeuvred into relentless fratricides, these nomads conveniently carried out every dastard anti-social activities such as kidnapping, extortion, threat, intimidation etc and continued their self-enrichment activities shamelessly using their most favourite adage “Windfall earning”.
All these crimes were carried out without the knowledge or consent of His Excellency SS.Khaplang and these activities in itself being a complete contradiction of peace and reconciliation slogan, Inno.SS.Khaplang cautioned them to mend their ways. As expected, rather than heeding to the righteous advice , the coalition of Kholi, Kitovi and Azheto conspired against SS.Khaplang and formed a new gang in the month of June 2011.
Finally, when both the NSCN’s became well aware of their deceitful nature, they resorted to start using FNR as it’s only salvage. The same group is desperately trying to entangle other Naga revolutionary groups into fighting against NSCN. The NSCN’s or for the matter NNC/FGN are matured people’s movement and would not be dragged into it’s desperate struggle for survival unlike the past.
Could such flock of criminals who never subscribes to principles and ideologies of the sacred struggle, displays no loyalty and commitment to any political party, purchase-able by money and ever sways away by a small change in fortune ever be considered national workers?
The extent of insanity and falsehood of Khehoi campers has once again been brought to the fore when a murder of one NSCN civilian worker, Rajapeyu Ihoto Sumi of litshami village was carried out (murdered on the night of 23 rd.Dec.2011, Zunheboto) hand in hand along with Khole’s wide publicised message- “Time for joy and not violence”.
Gifting the national worker’s family with dead body during Christmas and speaking of joy and peace on the other is indeed a height of blasphemy that could emanate only from the mind of anti-christ “Yahoi Cult” propagator like Kholi Konyak.
The NSCN/GPRN while urging the FNR to carry on with it’s peace and reconciliation mission, may also be sincerely asked to remain vigilant of those anti-peace elements seeking to spread evil agendas under it’s shield.
