The Chakhesang Welfare Union, Upper Jail Colony Kohima (CWUUJCK) today marked its 25th Anniversary with a thanksgiving programme in Kohima.

The Silver Jubilee celebration brought the members together in celebrating a milestone of unity, service, and community growth.

Gracing the occasion as Guest Speaker, MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhütso, lauded the Chakhesang community for its contributions to the social, cultural, and political development of Kohima and Nagaland.

“This jubilee reminds us of the hard work and dedication of a generation and the need to pass on responsibilities to a new one,” Dr Rhütso said.

He was optimistic that this celebration becomes a symbol of reconciliation and renewed unity among the Chakhesang people and with the neighbours.
