CYE choir presents special song during PVBC CYE 75th anniversary celebration on December 18.
Phek, December 29 (MExN): The Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) of the Phek Village Baptist Church (PVBC) has celebrated 75th anniversary on December 18 under the theme “Taste to shine together” (Psalms 34:8).
Vepakho Vese, youth secretary Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) and Rev Vesito Venuh, pastor, Phek Village Baptist Church were the speakers of the celebration.
MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Phek Area Baptist Church Christian Youth Endeavour chairman Vekhotso Rhakho, PVBC CYE former chairman Shevotso Huire and CYE former youth director Vebuzo Keyho shared greetings.
PVBC church board advisor Niichicho Venuh released the 75th anniversary souvenir.
“Let us affirm to stand firm in our faith, persevere in doing good and resist negative influences with a commitment to testify together the goodness of God,” penned Dr Vezhoto Soho, Chairman, PVBC 75th CYE Anniversary in a 75th anniversary souvenir.
Commending PVBC CYE for attaining 75 years, , Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) executive secretary Rev Dr Chekrovei Cho-o wishes that it “usher in anew the vibrant church and moral society in our land and beyond.”
“Reaching a 75 year milestone is a testament to unwavering faith, dedicated service and the transformative power of God’s work through generations. For 75 years, the CYE has stood as a beacon of light, nurturing the spiritual and social fabric of our youth. It has been a crucible where young lives are shaped, leaders are forged and a legacy of faith is passed down like a sacred beacon,” MLA Azo stated in a souvenir. He recognised and commended the invaluable contribution of the CYE to the society.
Phek Village Council chairman Chivozo Soho appreciated the positive role of the Youth Ministry and its contributions to the peace and progress of Phek village.
Vekuzhie Huire served as the first chairman PVBC CYE during 1950-1951.
