Da Vinci Code draws curiosity not controversy

Kohima, May 21 (MExN): The curiosity and eagerness to watch the controversy movie “The Da Vinci Code” has emerged among the people here but the cassette is still untraceable.
The anxious viewers were seen searching for the cassette from one library to another but in vain.

A video cassette dealer said that many film goers have been looking for the cassette.  “You cannot get it anywhere in Kohima” responded a certain Video Cassette Library dealer in Kohima after a certain man enquired the cassette.

Mention may be made that, “The Da Vinci Code” was cleared by the censors on May 18 without any cuts and “will be screened only for adult audiences with disclaimers meant to assuage Christian groups that had opposed its release.”

On being asked whether he favors the MP W. Wangyuh Konyak’s requesting Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio  to convene a special session of the assembly or issue government notification in order to ban screening of the movie in the state, Former minister Zachilhu Vadeo stated that the best thing is to see the movie first and  then decide.

He also stated that jumping into conclusion without reading the real situation would rather bring shame.

“My advice is to watch the movie first,” he added.
