DAO Zunheboto observes Sankalp Santaah week

Zunheboto, October 12 (MExN): The District Agriculture Office, Zunheboto observed a weeklong Sankalp Santaah at Akuhaito Aspirational block under Zunheboto district. The event culminated on October 9 at ADC office, Atoizu with display of various indigenous agri-products like rice, maize, soyabean, millets, agri tools etc, stated a press release.

During the inaugural programme, DAO L Nungsang Jamir encouraged the farmers to continue working sincerely by following the latest technologies and inputs provided by Agri and allied Departments in achieving self-sufficiency in food production. He also advised the farmers to do away with the practice of running after only subsidies and incentives.

Agriculture Department, Zunheboto conducted various trainings and demonstrations on vermicomposting, bio-composting and pickle making at Naghuto old and Akuhaito. Altogether, 16 villages from Akuhaito block took part in the programme.
