Kohima, March 30 (MExN): The Don Bosco College Kohima launched its annual event ‘Euphoria’ Phase 2 (11th edition, 2025-26) under the theme “Beyond the Finish Line” on March 30. It was graced by Manoj Kumar Sankhyann, Commandant, 13th Assam Rifles,Kohima-Nagaland, as the chief guest.
Sankhyann commended the importance of the annual event for cultivating an environment that fosters academic excellence alongside character development through sports and cultural pursuits.
Such endeavour plays a pivotal role in inculcating discipline, confidence, and responsibility among individuals, he said.
Fr Dr Tious Varghese in his welcome address, expressed deep gratitude to the guest, along with faculty, students, and attendees gathered for Euphoria Phase 2.
He depicted the chief guest’s presence as embodying the discipline and endurance that mirror the theme ‘Beyond the Finish Line,’ reminding everyone that true strength is moving forward even when obstacles loom large.
The Euphoria Mister & Miss Pageant, accompanied by a grand concert featuring distinguished artists from the state will be held on April 1, 2026.
This ceremonial evening is anticipated to celebrate excellence in talent and artistic expression, thereby enhancing cultural pride within the state featuring live performances by renowned artists such as the Polar Lights, Moko Koza, Sentien Kichu, VK Khusoh, Shau Evans, Koko Savino, Kekhrie Ringa (The Boho Singer) and Psyche Vision.
The inaugural ceremony chaired by Kiekie Liegise (BA 4th semester, Dept of Political science ) featured musical rendition Leshine Lydia (BA 4th-semester, Dept of Political Science) , College Anthem , Torch- lighting ceremony marking the symbolic start of the event and oath-taking led by Tobovi Kiho (Games and Sports Secretary, DBCKSF.
