Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The Duncan Bosti Lotha Ekhung (DBLE) convened its 2026 general meeting at the Duncan Community Hall, Dimapur on January 24.
The meeting, which began at 10 am, minutely deliberated on the resolutions and decisions adopted at the executive body meeting held on December 12, 2025, and formally placed before the general meeting for approval.
Among the key decisions was the enhancement of the tenure of DBLE office bearers from the existing four years to five years, which was accepted and duly approved by the house.
Following this, the election of a new team of office bearers for the 2026–2031 tenure was conducted. After due deliberation, a decision was taken to re-elect and entrust the present team of office bearers for the 2026–2031 tenure of DBLE, with effect from January 24, 2026.
The office bearers for the new tenure are T L Merry as chairman, Penathung Kithan as vice-chairman, Lichio Kithan as general secretary, Arao Lotha as joint secretary and Dr Zubemo Kithan as treasurer.
Rev Dr Yanbemo Lotha, pastor, Lotha Baptist Church Duncan (LBCD), invoked God’s blessings upon the newly entrusted team of DBLE office bearers.
Earlier, the general meeting began with a prayer led by one of Duncan Bosti’s senior-most citizens, Tsanthungo Patton. The meeting concluded with a mass prayer and closing prayer by K K Merry.
