Kohima, January 10 (MExN): A meeting regarding the publication of the final Electoral Roll 2025 was held at the conference hall of the DC Kohima on January 10.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, and attended by representatives of various political parties under the Kohima division, stated a DIPR report.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar Ramnikant urged political parties to intensify their internal efforts to sensitize members and ensure the enrollment of all eligible citizens, as the number of new enrollments remains low. He emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening democratic processes.
During the meeting, the DC Kohima distributed both hard and soft copies of the finalised Electoral Roll to the representatives of recognized political parties and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers. He also encouraged the stakeholders to verify and ensure the accuracy of the voter list in their respective areas.
