Mokokchung, April 18 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi has issued an order banning carrying of Arms within Mokokchung district with immediate effect and will be in force till the completion of Election process on 15th May 2011. Lithrongla in the Order made it clear ‘Notwithstanding anything contained in the Arms Act 1959 where a person is convicted of an offence under this Section, the Arms as defined in the said Act found in his possession shall be liable to confiscation and the license granted in relation to such Arms shall be deemed to have been revoked under Section 17 of the Act’.
Revision of Advertisement rates for Newspapers
Kohima, April 18 (DIPR): The Government of Nagaland his revised the existing Government Advertisement rates as follows w.e.f 1st April 2011, as per the provisions of the Government of Nagaland Advertisement Policy and Rules 1985, clause 11 (1). For Daily News Papers the new effective rates for black & white shall be Rs. 100.00 per column per centimeter while for colour it shall be Rs. 120.00 per column per centimeter. For Periodicals/Magazines, the rate for black & white shall be Rs. 20.00 per square centimeter and for colour it shall be Rs. 30.00 per square centimeter.
