Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur N Hushili Sema, IAS has notified that selling and bursting of any kind of fire crackers in and around Dimapur during Christmas and New Year is banned with immediate effect. Anybody found violating the order shall be arrested and prosecuted as per the provision of law. The NSCN/GPRN has also issued a similar order banning bursting and selling of fire crackers in and around Dimapur. Chuba Pongen, CAO UT- I, NSCN/GPRN stated in a press release that all concerned citizens are requested to extend cooperation in order to maintain peaceful atmosphere during the festive season.
