Zunheboto, March 24 (MExN): District Congress Committee Zunheboto (DCCZ) convened a meeting with all the ACCCs on March 20 at Congress Bhavan, Zunheboto. During the sitting, the presidents of all the assembly constituencies gave reports on how the Congress party workers are preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2014. DCC Zunheboto comprising seven constituencies, with two Congress MLAs in the Nagaland Assembly, have been working tirelessly to enlarge the number of supporters in all the constituencies, stated a press release issued by DCCZ general secretary (Admin).
According to the reports of the ACCC presidents, the release said, at this parliamentary election, the Congress party workers as well as the supporters in all the polling booths are more vigilant compared to the previous elections. Shikuto Sumi, 88, president of 22 A/C exhorted the party workers that the “Congress party in Nagaland will come to power as Naga people need national political party like Congress party who truly works for the common people in our nation.”
Joshua Swu, president of Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress also stated that the facts and figures in the booklet “11 years of NPF misrule in Nagaland under Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio” published by NPCC have been furnished through RTI. “Distributing this booklet will create good atmosphere as Naga people are displeased with the NPF government,” he added.
DCCZ further resolved to fight the election with “strong determination” as it has an issue to stand for the common people, while asserting to strongly support INC candidate KV Pusa.
