Dimapur, December 19 (MexN): President Hokiye Yepthomi, on behalf of Dimapur District Citizen Forum,Dimapur(DDCF) requested and appealed to all concerned to maintain an atmosphere of peace during this festive season and by adhering to the tenets of true Christianity. He sated that “While we welcome the prince of peace, we are obliged to maintain peace and harmony amongst all groups and communities.”
The press note issued by Kamala Kanta Paul, Press- Secretary, DDCF stated that violence has not led to any solutions- it had created more problems and there is nothing that can’t be sorted out through dialogue and discussions. It was also mentioned in the note that all right thinking citizens were requested to maintain peace at all costs and not mar the spirit of Christmas celebrations and festivities. Christmas will be celebrated best with mutual love and respect for one another and the feeling of belonging,it further stated.
