Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): A daily flower market under the aegis of Dimapur District Floricultural Association (DDFA) was formally inaugurated at the Supermarket by Thangbemo, SDO on September 1. Speaking on the occasion, he mentioned that floriculture is a big market internationally and hence, we must also take up such activities and spread it to the rural areas too.
Noleto Visa, Sr Executive Officer Development Authority Nagaland, in his speech mentioned that it was a win win situation for both the flower growers under DDFA and DAN, as a much needed market area was allotted to the growers & at the same time it will beautify the stretch and help DAN earn revenue too.
DDFA President, Zubeni L Imchen, in her keynote address highlighted how a long awaited dream is becoming a reality. She mentioned this daily market stretch will not only enhance the aesthetic value of the town but also add to the economy of the district and state by attracting buyers from nearby states too.
