Dimapur, April 10 (MExN): Under the theme ‘Football for Health,’ the Dimapur District Veteran Football Association (DDVFA) organised a Dimapur Open Penalty Shoot-out Tournament at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur on April 10. A total of 20 teams took part in the event.
According to the press note from the association, Tribal FC (A) emerged as the champion of the tournament and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 while the runner-up, 110 FC was awarded with Rs 20,000. The prizes were sponsored by Hotel Four Season, The Paradise Garden and Hotel Blue Bird.
Mito Achumi was declared the best Goalkeeper and received Rs 2000.
DDSC Vice President Tsenthungo and NPF Minority Wing, Nagaland, Bishnu Bhattarcharjee graced the occasion as special guest and guest of honour respectively.
Meanwhile, the DDVFA has expressed gratitude to referees from DDFRA, participating teams and well wishers.
