Revolution happened twice in Mokokchung, 1981 being the first case where Sumi earlier settlers began to overindulge their individual liberty and their youngsters virtually ruled the streets, agonising the local citizens by beating and intimidation that continued unchallenged throughout seventies. The people of this Town tolerated but the explosion was in the making and in the fateful day of 1981 it blew up from a small fight between two boys inside a tailor’s shop. Citizens took this opportunity to revolt and Sumis were expelled ultimately. The citizens of Mokokchung liberated themselves from tyranny! Secondly, it happened to NSCN (K) on 24th August 2003, where citizens had to revolt against the suppression once again in succession to gain freedom.
This is revolution! This happened when citizens said “NO” enough is enough. This same revolution can happen against this corruption if today’s concerned individuals could master our strengths to say at least “NO” to CORRUPTION and come together for once and experience the power of people. Here, we are not talking about the likes of French or Bolshevik revolution for no two revolutions are same.
If the peace accord could be concluded forcefully and the election is done away then the matter ends here, otherwise the stage is all set for election and our legislators are not wasting time though they appear to the public for “solution before election”.
Remember? Little drops of water make a mighty ocean and we are much more than little drops of water. Therefore, citizens! concerned individuals! How long shall we sleep with this concern? Are you getting sound sleep in this self inflicted, self abused society for not doing anything? Unless a concerned individuals like you come out and join us making 1+2+3+++ no one will rescue us. DO NOT expect help from any organisations because they will not nor should we allow them to involve with us. This is our moment and we will have to do it ourselves by stepping out or miss the chance of a lifetime. Believe in yourself, gather some courage my fellow citizens, this is a grouping of single individuals like YOU and ME with a genuine concern for our society. A message to the many genuinely concerned individuals who are already affiliated one way or other in some party and organisations, you may have good intentions with the best political manifestos but your group alone cannot kill the BEAST.
To be precisely practical, all of us will have to come together at a certain point to join the force. It is an established fact that unless we defeat this corruption no one will prosper nor survive in this environment. This movement demands combined force, therefore, citizens stand up for the time is within this January, IT IS NOW. Help yourself, rescue your children, rescue the future of our land. Come to Dimapur; the campaign starts from January 16, 2018, which will continue for days even weeks till it becomes large enough to drive the course.
Every concerned person is welcome from any background provided he comes from his individual capacity, strictly no Political Parties, no NGOs, no Groups, no social organisations will be entertained nor allowed to be interfered, it shall be purely a People’s movement.
Come with your concern each of you, let us ventilate in the gathering and grow in number as the day progresses until the collective wisdom starts operating among us, at which point we shall be in a position to know and decide how to find out potential and responsible candidates from across the state and nominate them from a party chosen by the collective wisdom and take them to the people to be elected in order to replace the entire batch of this corrupt legislators, nothing less. This kind of movement succeeds when the conditions of a society reaches the bottom and the back of the people on the wall like ours, so why shouldn’t we take the advantage of this perfect opportunity? “New wine in a new bottle.” Once again, “Nothing Less”!!!. Come let us experience the miracle of God.
