Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has strongly condemned an online death threat against its Adviser, Prof. Rosemary Dzüvichü, noting that the reference to the Women’s Reservation issue brings back memories of past harassment and violence faced by NMA leaders and women from various tribal organisations.
The NMA thus categorically asserted that inciting violence once again against its advisor and other women activists is “diabolical in nature and indicates the deep web of conspiracy to threaten and intimidate strong women voices that articulates our rights for peace, equality and justice.”
In this connection, it appealed law enforcement agency to investigate thoroughly and ensure that due legal action is awarded against the individual involved, as well as action against Administrator/Moderator of the two social media groups identified as “Unified Naga Land for Christ” and “The Chronicles of Nagas.”
It further called for adequate protection for Prof Dzüvichü and other women activists who are facing intimidations to ensure accountability and justice as per the Law.
