Declare names of govt officials under ED scanner: NTPRADAO to State BJP

DIMAPUR, JUNE 23 (MExN): Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy & Direct Action Org (NTPRADAO) has demanded the suspension of the 17 senior officers (unnamed) in the Nagaland government which National Secretary, BJP and MLC & party's chief whip, Bihar, Dr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal revealed on June 15 were under ED scanner for alleged corruption. 

In a statement, the organization through its media cell demanded the Nagaland State BJP president, Temjen Imna Along to give out the names of those alleged “17 IAS and senior bureaucrats whose files have been opened by ED for investigations.”

“Temjen Imna Along's BJP party and its legislature party leader Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton, has to come clean in front of approximate 20 lakhs people of Nagaland by declaring the names of those corrupt officials who embezzled and misappropriated Nagaland's public developmental funds,” the statement read. 

It also vowed that the NTPRADAO with its “thousand plus members from all over 16 districts of Nagaland shall play the watchdog and leave no stone unturned till BJP party led by its president Temjen Imna Along and BLP leader Y Patton enlightens the Nagaland general public.”

It asked the BJP to “better table it soon enough or otherwise all right thinking citizens in Nagaland are going to seriously doubt the sincerity of BJP party in fighting against corruption.”

The organization also stated that if the allegations on the alleged corruption prove to be true, then it raises serious questions about the functioning of the anti-corruption ombudsmen State Lok Ayukta.
