‘Dedication, Devotion and Determination’

Amaluma Village Students’ Union felicitation 2015 conducted

Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): The Amaluma Village Students’ Union, Dimapur held its annual meet cum felicitation 2015 under the theme “The best preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today” on December 27 at the village Community Hall premises with SDAO, Dimapur and Advisor to Kachari Tribal Council, Nagaland SK Khemprai as chief guest. Speaking at the programme, Khemprai exhorted the gathering and laid emphasis on “3Ds”- Dedication, Devotion and Determination. He said that in order to excel in life one has to inculcate these 3Ds for they are interrelated and possessing talent alone is not enough it has to be utilized and exposed. He reminded the parents to be more vigilant and sincere towards their children and that wisdom is necessary in order to balance our life. He further felicitated the successful HSLC, HSSLC and degree students 2015 and wished them the best in their future endeavours.  

Guest of Honour, Ramesh Hasnu President Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) felicitated the successful students 2015. He urged the parents and students to uphold the spirit of sincerity in their works. He reminded the students to lend their helping hand to parents during the holidays and added that they can work hand in hand for the betterment of the village as a whole.  

Special invitee Devojit Naben, President DLMN extended gratitude to the Union and the village for organising the programme. He urged the gathering to use one’s own dialect reasoning that it is everyone’s responsibility to uphold and promote one’s own cultural identity.  

The programme was chaired by Maiham Jidung, while the welcome note was address by Waisringdao Naiding, President AVSU and Rotish Jarampusa spoke briefly on behalf of the Union. As an endnote, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dharmeswar Jidung Org Secretary AVSU. The second session with the Fashion show, dance and extempore speech by students was anchored by Helmila Thousen.
