Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): With the end to conserve tradition in the transition of society away from homeland, the Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem (DAST) celebrated Tsüngremmong on August 3. The festival was celebrated at Nagaland Armed Police Camp, Wazirabad.

DAST, President, Imsenchuba Pongen in a press release stated that to exhibit the ancestral tradition of the festival and to impart the younger generations the essence of the tradition, the event involved all age groups with major role in organization of the festival. The whole event witnessed solely cultural and traditional performances involving the entire crowd gathered for the event.

A clinical and hands-on session to impart traditional practices and cultural values to children was a special arrangement wherein all Ao children and Ao in-laws children were benefited. The elders enjoyed tug of war, group dance and folk songs with traditional dish. The celebration was simple with no monologue and honoree in order to provide more time to the traditional activities and to effectuate the aspiration of the community efficiently.
