
Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Vice-Chairman Tongmeth Wangnao has mourned the demise of Col Retd Thsachoba Sangtam, Executive Member Steering Committee, NSCN.
In a condolence note, Wangnao said Col Thsachoba, who joined Naga National service in 1978, had served the Nation with commitment till his final breath. “His determination to carry on despite trying circumstances demonstrated his commitment to duties and responsibilities. In his own quiet and calm manner, he had shown how to work through challenging times and carry everyone along. Words cannot ease the pain and grief,” he stated. “We salute and honour him for the supreme sacrifice he has paid for the interest of the Nation. I offer my sincere condolence to the bereaved family and friends. I pray that God's grace comforts you,” he added.
NSCN (IM) Steering Secretariat also mourned the demise of Col (Retd) Thsachoba Sangtam. Caretaker/Convener, SC, KK Angami in a press note said it is a tragedy for the NSCN and for the Naga Nation. Col (Retd) Thsachoba Sangtam hails from Alisophor Village under United Sangtam Region. "From whatever we have known him; he was one of the rare untainted leaders with a commendable commitment for the cause of Freedom of Nagalim. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss to the entire Nation,” he stated. “The void created by his demise is felt and would be difficult to fill in. His name shall be archived in the pages of the Naga History and he shall be remembered at all times to come. In this hour of grief, I extend my revolutionary salute to the departed soul, and pledge my solidarity and my support to the grieved family,” he added.
