Dental camp screens 185 patients at Hebron Camp

Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): A one-day dental camp was organised at Hebron Camp as part of the ongoing observance of World Oral Health Month on April 4.

The camp was led by Dr Weri Mero, Medical Officer at CHC Dhansiripar Block, Dimapur, and saw a total of 185 patients screened.

According to a press release, 61 patients underwent tooth extractions, 18 received glass ionomer cement (GIC) restorations, and 8 were provided temporary fillings.

In addition to dental services, beneficiaries were screened for blood pressure and diabetes, and free medicines for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) were distributed.

To promote oral hygiene, toothpaste and toothbrushes were also provided. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials were disseminated to raise awareness on oral health and hygiene practices, the report stated.
