Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly S. Toiho Yeptho inaugurated the CRIF road connecting Naltoqa Junction to CRIF Phuye Junction under the Suruhuto Assembly Constituency.
ZUNHEBOTO, DECEMBER 30 (MExN): Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly S. Toiho Yeptho inaugurated the CRIF road connecting Naltoqa Junction to CRIF Phuye Junction under the Suruhuto Assembly Constituency.
The project was funded under the SASCI 2023–24 and the Development (State) Fund 2024–25.
The inauguration programme was attended by Yeptho’s wife Tosheli Zhimomi; Director of Social Welfare Ihoto Rochill; Head DB, Suruhuto Headquarters; the PRO to the Deputy Speaker; the President and General Secretary of the NPF, 33 A/C Suruhuto; along with village chiefs and leaders from neighbouring areas.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Speaker said that improved road connectivity is crucial for the overall development of rural areas, as it ensures better access to markets, healthcare, education and other basic services. He also urged the public to cooperate in maintaining the road to ensure its long-term use.
The Deputy Speaker also inaugurated the Multipurpose Hall at Naltoqa town, Suruhuto. The project was funded under Article 275(1) for the year 2023–24 by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
At the event, the Deputy Speaker was accompanied by his wife, Tosheli Zhimomi; Director, Social Welfare; Commandant, 8th NAP; Head Dobashi, Suruhuto; PRO to the H Deputy Speaker, Tokaito Yeptho; Class I contractor; President and colleagues of NPF, 33 A/C; and village chiefs.
The inauguration of the Multipurpose Hall marks a significant boost to community infrastructure and is expected to serve as an important venue for social, cultural, and developmental activities in the region, a press release stated.
