Development sans politics

T. Chuba Jamir

Development of the Society, the state or a country is welcome by all, and at the same time it should be given due honours to any party or any body who ever brings the development. In the context of Nagaland, we have seen some new developments taking place like for e.g. Industrialization, Infrastructure for Sports & Music established, Ushering in the Era of the Multi Messages Services like Mobile Phones, Broad Band Internet Services, etc & road connectivity in this past few years Of governance of the present Govt. of Nagaland. But sadly it is being criticized instead of being appreciated, that the development is confined to a certain district only, but the said District is in Nagaland. Criticism is good but it should be constructive and not destructive or misleading.

It is mandatory on the part of the Politicians to criticize each other on Party Politics, as every party has their own Ideologies & Agendas for the welfare of the people, but while doing so it should not mislead the Public for whom they were elected in the first place. For the laymen or common man Politics is mind blowing they can’t comprehend, seeing is believing for them. Development can be seen but not politics. Politics is necessary for governance, but criticizing each other in the open on party policies or agendas is like washing one’s own dirty linen in public, as no one is above corruption, it is best done inside the Parliament or Assembly. Not in the open belittling the honourable self or the August House. Constructive criticism is healthy without which there never can be a good government. Development done by any party for a state or country should be appreciated by all, the common man, Politicians irrespective of Party Politics.

Development in every aspect can be brought only by an able leader of which the present CM in the context of Nagaland is doing Justice, by bringing the Districts of Nagaland closer to each other through road connectivity thereby giving ample scope for upliftment of their economic status by inter-trade between different Districts and also bringing Nagaland closer to the outside World through Broadband Internet Services, Multi Message Services, and Mobile Phone Services etc.

The Nagas are a Multi talented people but due to the lack of such facilities were not able to compete with the rest of the country in a fast developing world, but now that’s a thing of the past, Nagaland also will be able to compete with the rest of the world in the next 5-10 years from now in every aspects and anyone who is for development of the state or country should strengthen the hands of their leader as their main Aim & Object is development and progress of the Society, the State and the Country.
