Dimapur, July 31 (MExN): The Dimapur Government College (DGC) held a farewell programme in honour of its retiring Vice Principal, Kezhaleu Hesso, on July 31.
In his speech, DGC Principal Dr T Tiakaba Jamir appreciated the retiring officer for her dedicated and invaluable service to the institution and extended best wishes for her future endeavours.
Biswajit Sarkar, President of the Dimapur Government College Teachers’ Association (DGCTA), highlighted instances where Hesso had undertaken exceptional responsibilities and expressed gratitude for her years of service.
Speaking on behalf of the heads of departments, Dr Meripeni Ngullie recalled how Kezhaleu was part of a team of teachers who played a key role in bringing about significant changes in the college.
Speeches were also delivered on behalf of the DGC ministerial staff and student body.
Meanwhile, Kezhaleu expressed gratitude to the college community for organising the farewell and shared that her time at DGC had been both enriching and fulfilling.
The farewell included special presentations from various departments and sections of the college. A special song was rendered by the male faculty members of DGC.
