DGC Science Club marks Zero Waste Day with cleanliness drive

Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): The Science Club of Dimapur Government College (DGC) organised a cleanliness drive on March 30 to observe the International Day of Zero Waste, promoting the message that “zero waste is not a limitation but a creative challenge.”

The programme was held within the college campus with active participation of club members.

Activities included collection and segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, aimed at promoting responsible waste management practices.

Posters were also displayed to raise awareness on reducing plastic use and adopting eco-friendly habits such as using reusable items and composting.

The initiative highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and encouraged students to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment.
