Dialysis patients union asks govt to resolve insurance issue

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 14 (MExN): The Dialysis Patients’ Union Nagaland has expressed concern over hospitals in the state refusing to recognize patients under the Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Schemes due to unpaid pending bills by the insurance company.

In a statement issued by its media cell, the union urged the Nagaland government to intervene immediately, warning that the situation could have severe consequences for patients reliant on these schemes. Many dialysis patients and others with serious health conditions face a significant financial burden, the union said, as they struggle to afford treatment without insurance coverage.
