DIC in trouble for vested 'interests'

DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): While thanking the NSACS and Kripa Foundation for providing a Drop-in-Centre (DIC) for Tseminyu Sub-Division to help frustrated youths  indulging in drug abuse, there are now allegations from some members of the Rengma Mothers’ Association (RMA) about what is termed as mismanagement of the DIC at Sub-Division Tseminyu by the “sheer greediness of some vested interested persons”.

Charges has been leveled against the President RMA and four other Advisors alleging that they had appointed themselves to be the RMA Management Board of DIC Tseminyu and created problems in management of DIC, resulting in dissolving the Management Board by the RMA Resolution NO. 9 dated May 31, 2004.

“Even, thereafter, the self style Management Board tries to divert the fund of RMA draft meant for DIC to Tseminyu Mothers’ Association at State Bank of India, Kohima on August 18, 2004.

This unwanted activities of the so-called Management Board attracted the attention of Tseminyu Village Youth Organization whereby they were summoned by the Tseminyu Union on the complaint lodged by the Tseminyu Village Youth Organization on October 10, 2004 at T Zisunyu Panchayat Hall”, stated a press communiqué issued by Vice President RMA, General Secretary RMA, Joint Secretary RMA, President Tseminyu Mothers’ Association/Advisor RMA, Member Finance Committee RMA, Representative Tseminyu Town RMA, Action Committee RMA.

The complainants also pointed out that they were astonished to learn of the so-called self-styled RMA Management Board who, according to the comminique, are trying to acquire the DIC in the name of M/S Kenyuyhun (Advisor-RMA) MPCS Ltd bearing Reg. NO. 2245 dated 24/08/93 Tseminyu Old Town, Kohima, Nagaland.

“It is regretted that a responsible persons holding an office bearer and Advisors in the RMA are trying to misuse DIC to their own personal benefit which is uncalled for and condemnable”, the complainants stated.

Therefore, the NSACS and Kripa Foundation have been requested not to entertain any form of request for change in the nomenclature of RMA DIC without authentication of the Rengma Mothers' Association.
