Dimapur AIDS prevention control meeting held

Dimapur, August 24 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District AIDS Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU) Dimapur, N. Hushili Sema, while addressing the gathering at the 2nd Quarterly meeting at the District Health Society Cum 1st District AIDS Prevention Unit Review Meeting on August 23, at DC’s conference hall, said that Government as well as many responsible NGO’s are committed to do for the welfare of the HIV/ AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) effected patient in the State.
She called upon the NGOs like Naga Women Hoho and Churches to come out and give more efforts and join hands with the Government to bring changes in the life of the effected people and do away the stigma and discrimination the diseases carry with. While congratulating the various NGOs who were into these noble ventures, she said that the District Administration would give full cooperation to do something for the benefits of the effected people of the district and the State.
Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, Dr. Sukhato A Sema in his welcome address appealed to all the members to help the people living with HIV/ AIDS and TB He also called upon the members to encourage the patient to go for Multi-Drugs Resistance and sputum and Blood sample for further researches and for cure.
Deputy CMO, Dimapur, Dr. Ritu Thurr presented District Health Status, Blood Donation/ Safety was presented by DPO Meyisangla, ICTC DHD and Blood Bank, DNP+ brief activity by President DNP+ Moa Phom.
