Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): Dimapur-based civil society organisations including the DUCCF, GB’s (Sadar) Union, NWHD, DNSU, DCCI, JCC and DDCF under the banner of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) held a meeting on November 20.
According to a press release from NCD General Secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam, the preliminary discussion was conducted on the agenda of state government notification NO/MA-79/2017 dated Kohima November 18, 2021, for advisory council to Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Town Council in Nagaland.
The release stated that the house deliberated at length with a view to draw opinions from affiliated Dimapur based civil society organisations, eminent members and experts, to present a collective view on the agenda. It endorsed a Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) to take the matter up with the state government for the ongoing ULB and Town Council related issues in Nagaland, it added.
