Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The District Hospital (DH), Dimapur will be starting post COVID-19 Clinic at the Medical OPD every Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The DH Dimapur, Medical Superintendent, Dr Khrielsanuo Metha in a press release informed all the staffs that in view of the various post COVID-19 complications during the first and second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and to put emphasis on the management of post COVID-19 squeal, the DH Dimapur will start the post COVID-19 Clinic.
Patients will be assessed by doctors from the department of Medicine, orthopedics/PMR. The concerned specialist will do the duty on rotation basis, the MS stated.
For “Investigations”, the MS said that all investigations to be done and added, “other investigations to be done if required- PFT, ECHO Cardiography, Chest X-Ray and HRCT.”
For tele-consultation and follow up, the following facilities will be available: Concerned doctor to reply to call from patients; Concerned doctor to call up discharged patients informing about the post COVID clinic; Concerned doctor to send all reports to patients by whatsapp; Counseling to be done to allay any fear; Whenever required the patients to be called for review.
The duration for follow up will be from three to six months and nine to 12 months of discharge.
