Dimapur DPDB: DC requests depts. To review electricity, water facilities

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Sachin Jaiswal has requested the concerned departments to put extra effort to review electricity and drinking water facilities in the district.

During the November meeting of the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on Friday, DC Jaiswal who is also the Board Vice-Chairperson reminded the Heads of Departments (HoDs) to take keen interest in monitoring enrolment for the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CHIMS). Stating that it is a beneficial scheme for the Government servants as well as the public, he advised them to contact the nodal officers in case any difficulties are faced.

According to a DIPR report, the DC also asked the HoDs to oversee the staffing pattern and ensure regular attendance of their staff as the state assembly election was inching closer. He further advised the DEOs and SDEOs to mobilise the village councils so that ramps are set in place for convenience of disabled voters.

Agendas cleared during the meeting included proposals for registration of five societies. The Board agreed to recommend the societies as all formalities in respect of the societies were found to be in proper on verification by the authorised administrative officers. The societies are Nagaland Ambulance Association, Dimapur; Golaghat Road Business Welfare Association, Zakiesato Colony Dimapur; Faith Hope Love Foundation, Thahekhu village, Dimapur; Listening Station Lingrijan Taxes Colony Dimapur; Wise Nagaland, Rengma colony, Dimapur.

As entrusted, DPO, Social welfare department highlighted the activities of the department through a PowerPoint presentation and the meeting ended with a note of thanks from the chair, the DIPR stated.
