Dimapur DPDB meeting held

DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): The Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held in the conference hall of DC Dimapur on June 6.

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur who is also the chairman DPDB Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang expressed gratitude to all the HODs and officials for their unflinching services rendered during the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. Because of your cooperation, the LS elections was conducted successfully at Dimapur district, he commented. He also mentioned that the counting observer for Dimapur highly appreciated Team Dimapur for the smooth conduct of the counting process.

Further, DC Dimapur urged upon the officials to work with the same zeal and spirit even during the ULB elections to be conducted in a peaceful, free and fair manner, while reminding them that nomination for the same would commence by June 7.

In the meeting, DC also expressed gratitude to all the HODs for their generous contribution during the conduct of Nagaland Olympics and Paralympic tournament held in the month of February 2024. With the contribution, the District Administrator could also lend a helping hand to Better Dimapur Team for organising sports week for the orphanage, he informed.

Other agendas of the meeting included review of last DPDB meeting where the house agreed to forward the registration of Nagaland NGOs Forum for further necessary action.

The proposal for society registration pertaining to Usutomi Union Dimapur, Alashi Foundation DImapur, Association of Naga Indigenous Games & Sports Dimapur,  and recognition of Arok village under Dimapur district, change of nomenclature from Nagaland Film Association to Nagaland Movies and Broadcasting Industry, change of nomenclature from Public College of Commerce to Public College Dimapur were thoroughly deliberated where the house agreed to recommend and forward to the government for further necessary action.
