Dimapur gets fresh NPP youth leadership

Newly inducted office bearers of the Dimapur District Youth Front (NPYF) of the National People’s Party (NPP) with party leaders during the induction programme held at the NPP State Headquarters, Dimapur, on August 23.

Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) on August 23 held the formal induction of the Dimapur District Youth Front (NPYF) office bearers at the NPP State Headquarters in Dimapur.

The programme was chaired by T Chuba Jamir, General Secretary (Administration), NPP, and began with an invocation by Khehoshe Sumi, State Secretary NPP, seeking blessings for the newly formed team.

Welcoming the district team, State President NPYF Nagaland, Yangba Imchen, urged them to “be torchbearers of change and growth for NPP in Dimapur.”

The newly inducted team was felicitated by A. Nyamnyei Konyak, MLA and State President NPP Nagaland.

In his first address, Zato Sumi, President NPYF Dimapur District, reaffirmed: “We are committed to building NPP at the grassroots, and we will work with unity and dedication for the people of Dimapur.”
State Vice President NPP, K. James Vizo, reminded the gathering that the party’s foundation rests on Christian values, calling upon leaders to “serve the people with compassion and uphold the constitution and discipline of the party.”

Addressing the rank and file, NPP State President A. Nyamnyei Konyak expressed delight at the party’s growth in Nagaland, stating: “NPP is steadily rising as a people’s alternative. We must carry the vision of the party to the grassroots because NPP is truly the people’s party – one united voice of the North East.”

Educated youth inducted
The newly inducted office bearers include professionals from law, medicine and entrepreneurship, representing what the party described as “a generation of educated, promising youth with zeal to serve the people and to work for the growth of the party under the platform of the National People’s Party.”

Their induction, the party noted, reflects the growing confidence among the people of Nagaland in NPP’s vision and policies. It anticipated that more individuals, particularly from tribal communities, will join in the near future as the party seeks to emerge as a credible and people-centric alternative in the state.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Yesufi Snock, State Working President, NPP Women’s Front Nagaland, followed by fellowship and refreshments.
