Dimapur: Man dies after allegedly jumping in front of moving train

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): An unidentified man, aged approximately 30-35 years, died on Sunday morning after allegedly jumping in front of a moving train in Dimapur, Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/ PRO, Dimapur said.

The police received a memo from Station Manager (OPTG) NF Railway Dimapur stating that the incident occurred at around 04:38 hours at kilometre post 258/1 between DMV and RxR. 

Accordingly, on receiving the information the duty party rushed to the spot for verification and on being enquired it was ascertained that one unknown person male (non-local)  was found lying dead at railway track, whose dead body was cut into two pieces by a running train near Mandir Xuvihe colony, Sangtamtilla, Dimapur, the officer stated. 

“On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.”
The deceased was wearing green coloured sweater, red coloured half jacket and grey coloured long pant.
