DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 20 (MExN): The Dimapur police apprehended two persons for firing allegedly in a “public place” on February 20. The incident happened at around 11:30 am at the Progressive Motors, TK Service area, 2 ½ Mile, NH 29.
As informed by the police in a press release, the duo, identified as Captain Vikalu Lobo and Toto Aye of the NSCN (R), were apprehended by the Mobile Patrol Unit soon after the receipt of information. One .32 calibre pistol, suspected to be the weapon, with a magazine and four rounds was also confiscated from their possession at the time of arrest. The release added that they reportedly reside at the residence of the NSCN (R) Finance Kilonser, Khekato Kinimi, located at Block-1, Thilixu village, as the latter’s bodyguards.
“Accordingly, the apprehended persons along with the seized arms and ammunition were forwarded to East PS. A case has been registered under relevant provision of law and investigation on going,” the release said.
