DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has informed all vehicle owners and drivers to carry valid documents and adhere to the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act’ 1988. A press release from the Dimapur Police PRO informed that many vehicles are plying in Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts, in violation of the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act’ 1988, especially un-registered vehicles, vehicles registered outside Nagaland state, commercial vehicles and government condemned vehicles using the same government registration numbers. In this regard, checking of all such vehicles will be conducted and defaulters will be penalised, the police stated.
