Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): An unidentified male was found dead near the railway colony close to a Shiv Mandir in Dimapur on Thursday morning, police said.
According to a press note issued by the Dimapur police, information about the body was received at around 9:10 am. On receiving the report, the duty officer along with personnel rushed to the spot, located approximately 3 km from the Sub-Urban Police Station.
The deceased, believed to be around 45 years of age, was found lying on the roadside in a supine position. Police suspect the cause of death to be natural, though the exact cause will be ascertained after post-mortem examination.
After completing all necessary legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital morgue for post-mortem and identification.
The deceased was wearing a black T-shirt and blue half-pants at the time of recovery.
