Dimapur: Smuggled Burma teak worth Rs 5 cr seized

Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): Security Forces in a joint operation with Police seized smuggled Burma teak at general area Thilixu, Dimapur on July 1. As per a press release from the HQ IGAR (N), based on a specific input, Security Forces in a joint operation with State Police seized 1296 logs of smuggled Burma teak worth approximately Rs 5 crore at Thilixu, Dimapur. 

The recovered items were handed over to Forest Department, Dimapur District for further investigation, the release added.
