Dimapur’s Diphupar Police Station reopened on August 17 after remaining sealed for three days. The Police station was sealed on the evening of August 13 following a COVID-19 scare. Two persons, who were arrested and detained at the Police Station, tested positive in the mandatory TrueNat screening on August 13. Subsequently, the premises were temporarily sealed pending the arrival of the confirmatory test results.  “The confirmatory test results of both the arrested individuals returned negative today,” informed a Dimapur police official, while adding that normal work resumed from today.  There was a similar scare at East PS on August 13 after one arrested individual tested positive in the TrueNat screening. It was also sealed but reopened late on August 14 after the confirmatory test result returned negative.
