Diphupar Village to issue ID for non-local

Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The Diphupar Village have informed today that any non-local, desiring to work/stay in Diphupar village must obtain identity card issued by Diphupar Village Council (DVC), after producing documentary evidences acceptable to the Diphupar Village Council. 

A joint meeting of the Diphupar Village Council (DVC), Diphupar Naga Youth Organisation, Diphupar Naga Women Organisation and VDB members held on March 3. The meeting resolved that any non-local have to produce a permanent residency certificate issued by the village council of their native village with photo, a certificate from police station of their respective jurisdiction certifying their identity and a certificate from district administration of that area or voter identity card, informed the press release appended by DVC secretary Lanutoshi. 

The meeting also resolved that no non-local shall be permitted to stay at leased plot; all non-local shall be permitted to stay only in rented houses and that, the land/lords shall be held responsible for their tenant’s activities. All land lords must maintain the tenant’s bio data. No visitors shall be permitted to stay overnight in such rented house without the knowledge of village authorities, the DVC added. 

Further, the Council informed that the resolution shall be applied to the construction workers within the village. No land owner shall permit/lease their empty plots to non-local to construct their dwelling thatches/huts/building. 

Meanwhile, the joint meeting also resolved to expel the family members of Dulal, Abdul abbar, Julele, Monas Ali, Kuto Ali, Lele and Monam for their involvement in anti social activities with immediate effect.
