Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): In response to the clarification inquired by Western Sumi Students’ Union which was published in local dailies on August 25 issue, the Director, Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS) has issued a press statement. Director, Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS), Zenietuo, NCS on behalf of the department appreciated the concern of the Union seeking clarification on the number of vacancies for SIS and SKs.
The department has clarified that a large number of applications for SIS and SKs were received seeking appointment against the resultant vacancies due to “The Retirement Act 2009”. In the view of the large number of applications, the department decided to hold written test and viva voce to maintain transparency and give equitable opportunity to all the applicants seeking appointment. The department notified in the Local dallies asking all the applicants to submit two recent photographs and collect their Admit Card on or before the 15th July 2011. The total number due to retirement are as follows Sub-Inspector 5 (five) and Nine (9) posts of Store Keepers. The total number of vacancies of all categories of posts due to retirement Act 2009 was furnished to the government.
However, the department added, that the government advertised only for the post of LDA-cum-computer assistants for common examination conducted by NPSC.
