Kohima, April 10 (MExN): In a significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure and promoting digital learning in schools, a ceremonial token distribution of sports kits and digital devices received under CSR partners was conducted for 15 Government Schools in Nagaland on April 10.
The initiative aims to enhance holistic education by integrating sports development with access to modern learning tools.
As part of this program, 1Alexa-enabled device to 60 selected Government Schools and 2 Cricket sets each to 50 selected Government Schools was provided.
Additionally, one set of Sepaktakraw equipment was provided to all Government High Schools (GHS) and Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS) across the stale, with the objective of promoting indigenous and regionally popular sports.
Shashank Pratap Singh (1AS), Principal Director of Directorate of School Education stated that this initiative aligns with the broader vision of improving student engagement, encouraging physical fitness, and fostering digital inclusion in government schools.
The integration of sports and smart learning tools is expected to create a more dynamic and inclusive educational environment, he said.
The programme reflects a collaborative effort between the Department of School Education and CSR partners, underscoring the importance of community participation in strengthening the education ecosystem.
